Waterbed FAQ

What is the difference between Soft-side and Hard side Waterbeds?

A. Hard side waterbeds are the traditional "deep-fill" waterbeds, in which you are lying directly on the "bag" of water. They are usually accompanied with hard side bedroom furniture and one feels like they are sleeping more "in" the water. Soft side waterbeds are relatively new and ours are "mid-fill" water bladders found within an actual mattress. Soft side waterbed users feel like they are sleeping more "on" the water.

Q. What does "waveless" mean?

A. "Waveless" is measured in percentages (80%, 90%, 100%, etc.) and refers to the amount of time it takes for the water within a waterbed to stop moving after a person first lays in it.

Q. How does your free trial work?

A. Our free trial is pretty simple; it is a "no questions asked" return policy 30 days after you first receive the waterbed. Should you want to return the mattress, please give us a call or return the product to the address listed on the site. For more information visit our Free Trial page.

Q. Which heater should I use?

A. The Quantum analog heater has a dial to determine temperature and is less expensive than the Touch Temp digital touch. Both heaters will work fine in heating your waterbed and it is simply a customer preference.

Q. Do I need a drain kit for my waterbed?

A. It is not necessary but a drain kit is strongly recommended and makes draining of a waterbed a much easier task.

Q. What if a leak should occur?

A. Leaks rarely occur but should one happen, if it is small simply repair the waterbed with a vinyl repair kit. If the hole is much larger, drain the waterbed and then repair it with a vinyl repair kit. Should the hole be unsalvageable and you think it is due to a defective mattress, please give us a call immediately.

Q. What type of payments do you accept?

A. We accept every major credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), in addition to the GE financing we offer. If you wish, you may also pay through Paypal, Google Checkout, or by check. Call for these special arrangements.

Q. How many days before my waterbed will arrive?

A. You waterbed will ship inside of 3 days of purchase. Shipment time varies due to geographical location but you can generally expect it to take 7-10 days. If you need it to be set up (referred to as White-Glove Service) for you, we can do that for an additional $299.

Q. How long will it take me to set up?

A. Both hard side and soft side waterbeds should take about 20-45 minutes to set up. The heater may take 24 hours to completely heat your waterbed to the temperature desired. Please call an agent if you have trouble.

Q. I'm ready to order, what do I do now?

A. You may safely order right on the site through our product pages, or you may call us and place an order over the phone.
